LeGassick Children's Hospital Charity

From our family to yours

The LeGassick family has long believed that the success and reach of their business should be used wherever possible to help effect positive change in the community. As a testament to the family's desire to 'give back' and in a gesture that will continue to keep giving for many years to come, the 'LeGassick Children's Hospital Charity' was founded in 2010.

LeGassick is very much a 'family-orientated' business, with Ted and Shirley's three sons, Darryn, Wade and Kenton all playing key roles in delivering the LeGassick promise of perfection in every piece. Together, the three sons have six, third-generation LeGassicks of their own, all under the age of 5 - hence, hospitals were a natural choice as a way to charitably support local families and the community as a whole.

Every year a substantial benefaction is donated by each LeGassick store to its local hospital - those being the Loganholme, Robina and Gold Coast Hospitals. By giving back to the communities that support the LeGassick brand, the family is proud to be able to contribute to those who provide valuable care for our children.

LeGassick raised a total of $7,405 for 2010. Logan led the way with $1,925, Robina raised $1,060 and Runaway Bay $895. LeGassick's generous staff donated $525 and the LeGassick family donated $3,000.

A big special thanks to Michelle, Danielle, Penny and Theresa all part of the LeGassick team who have all given generously to the Children's Hospital Charity in 2010.

Also thanks to Christine Saarinen who made a special visit to one of our stores to make a donation for the children.
